Help me please, my seed pod fell off and I know it's not completely formed and filled out yet, is there no hope for it?
Question on seed pods
It can take 4 - 6 months for the seed in the seedpod to mature. The embryo has to have a chance to form. If it's incomplete or doesn't have enough stored energy to get it to the first true leaf stage, the seed doesn't have a prayer. Open the seed pod and take a look at the color of the cork that surrounds the seed. The cork should be a dark brown. I hope it wasn't a cross you had your heart set on.
It turned out to be a whiteish green inside and the little babies weren't even the size of a pin head. Guess I'll havv e to wait till next year.
