Ya i think it is to i have a nother one i bought as HG they grow really slow

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

I have had HG for three years and it has yet to bloom. Worse yet, a shoot gets to a certain height and stops growing. The plant then sends out new shoots from the rootball. I have not ever had it produce a "Y". I would blame the extreme heat, but it doesn't do much in the fall or spring either. I've kept it as a challenge, but my patience is coming to an end with her. The blooms looked so gorgeoous and I kept hoping...

give it lots of bloom booster in the spring and cow or horse manure

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

I'll give it a try this spring. Any particular brand?

Thats gorgeous! I got one on E-bay a few months ago....so there is hope ☺

Bloom Booster. I can get all the manure I need from our pastures in all stages of composting. After a heavy rain, drifts of very fine compost like matter gets deposited around the edge of depressions. It took me a long time to realize what I was seeing.
