Hi, mamajack. I know your post is a little old but if you still have the red iris, I NEED those! I have quite a few yellow cannas but they are 'Lenape', 'Cleopatra', a no-namer, and 'Richard Wallace' I think. Don't know what you're looking for, but I have a LOT of daylilies, some other cannas, and other stuff. Check out my journals and see if there is anything you would like, and I'll go see if you have a list, too.

i will have to check this iris to see how many i have left. i know i traded an extra one that i wasn't planning on at that time.

you have several plants that i would be interestsed in..a few of the dl's and 3-4 of your canna. i propose we wait until after the iris bloom next year and after the canna come up. i have several canna you might be interested in as well as other iris or even dl's. my canna are dormant now. do you have a greenhouse?

thanks for the offer. barb

No greenhouse here and I think winter just arrived.... 19° low last night through Thurs. night before a warm-up supposedly later this week. Waiting until spring is fine with me. I'll put it in my tracker so I won't forget. I'm not really looking to get any more cannas right now. Other iris maybe, but I am really wanting a red as I don't have ANY. I've got some good ones but I need to expand my color palate! Getting kinda bored with purple, blue, and yellow. LOL No, I guess I've got a few colors other than that but not a red! My cannas will start coming up in May, usually. Of course, the dl's are sooner. Anyway, looking forward to it!

great. after the iris bloom next spring i might have some other varieties that i can trade you as well. so i will be looking for you to remember to contact me in a few months. can you believe another year has come and gone?

Bay, AR(Zone 7a)

Lord, NO! This year has whizzed by so fast my head still hasn't stopped spinning. I don't really think this year is going to be much better, either, as I already have a lot of stuff going on. Oh, well, gotta keep busy, huh?

I'll dmail you around mid April, is that alright?

Well if you go to PlantFiles and click search (but then click "use search engine" to get the GOOD one) and type in IRIS as the common name and RED in the cultivar name section. That will give you all the iris registered with red in the name, which is a good indicator of color, usually. Oh what the heck, here:
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/adv_search.php?searcher%5Bcommon%5D=iris&searcher%5Bfamily%5D=&searcher%5Bgenus%5D=&searcher%5Bspecies%5D=&searcher%5Bcultivar%5D=Red&searcher%5Bhybridizer%5D=&search_prefs%5Bblank_cultivar%5D=&search_prefs%5Bsort_by%5D=rating&images_prefs=both&Search=Search
Hope that works as it is LONG!

If I had a red one, I would have a pic, but I am working on that with Barb! :-)
