Both of my finches died this month. Latte was 7 years old (about as old as they get) and Cocoa was 5. They got a nasty respiratory disease that antibiotics didn't help. Latte went first so I immediately bought a new one, Espresso, so Cocoa wouldn't be sad. It worked. They slept together in "the cup" and preened each other. But while I was away for Thanksgiving, Cocoa died (the pet sitters felt terrible but I had left instructions in anticipation). So then I had to buy another,Yauco, to keep Espresso happy. They are both so full of energy and health. They fly around the cage for exercise. Haven't seen that for a while!!
