Deleted administrater user account by accident

HI

I have been cleaning up an old desk top pc to give to a friend and I have deleted my administrater user account now it won't complete boot up as it asks for a password which I don't remember, I have tried several that I thought it might be, (this pc is a few years old). It is Windows 2000. I cannot get to the control panel. Can anyone help please.
