Community Gardening in Texas

This information may be helpful....they will pick up to resell at their annual sale any items you don't want. They will even provide a tax receipt. Wonderful for you....and helps them to buy more things for their Magnolia organic community garden.

That's a wonderful idea Tir! Thanks for posting.
Our community garden has a plant sale twice a year to bring in funds for extra items needed by the garden. Renee's donates seed packets via the Master Gardeners. We plant them up to have six packs to sell.

I'll suggest a rumage sale as a possible option to add to the plant sale next spring.

Oh cool garden_mermaid! I had no idea a community garden wouldn't have thought to do such a sale. It's an awesome idea. Reuse, reduce, recycle AND grow a community garden---wow can't get better than that huh!

I think what appeals to me so much is they are willing to pick up to. But perhaps one could post that they will be having such a yard sale and designate a high traffic place in town for people to drop off goods. Posting such an ad on Craigslist would yield high results I'd hope.
