:o) Too funny Sheila!!!

Have no idea what happened to my post....perhaps a left over ghost from Halloween got it? Hmmm...could also be that new invisible ink...ya know, that secret government project I'm working on...ROLF!!!

Oh well, it's been cold and dreary here. Drizzling rain and 47 degrees.

That temperature is probably a day at the beach for ya'll up north...but for us sunny bunnies down in the deep south tip of Texas - it is cold! BRRRRR!!!

Got home from work at 2pm and hit the kitchen. Had fun warming up the house by baking all afternoon. Oooh, my house smells sooooo good!!! Made my famous Baked Squash Casserole and Sweet Potato Crunchy Top :o)

We're going to celebrate Thanksgiving on Saturday because my work schedule went amok this week.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday :o)

ps...am sitting at my computer desk sampling my kitchen creations. heh heh

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I'm a bigger person than I was on Wednesday! HA HA Still got half a caramel and NY cheese cakes to finish off. Gone to get another piece if I can get out of this chair.

At Weight Watchers last Sat. they helped us all lay out our plan of how or what we would eat or cook for Thanksgiving. But it all went out the window when I woke up hungry and my sister gave my DH 2 lbs of homemade fudge for his birthday! I had family over for a brunch, then went to extended relatives house for afternoon meal.
I have weigh-in this morning....at least they don't kick you out if you have a gain! I could not go, but then I might eat more this week. If I face the scale and get a bad number, maybe it will remind me not to over endulge this next month!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

I just blame a gain on water weight.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Well I squeaked by with only a 0.4 lb gain. I am very happy with that.
We have one lady in the meeting that has lost over 100 lbs and is so strong in her convictions! She is really an inspiration.

Did I read NY cheesecake and Chocolate Fudge? Ooooooooooooooooh, I think I gained another pound just reading that :o)

I keep saying each new year will be the year to stick to my resolutions but alas, the only resolution I keep is the one that says I won't keep my resolutions :o)

Life's too short...eat dessert first :o)

If I keep eating my dessert first, my life will definitely be short (smile)

Hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving! We are enjoying the leftovers and our daughter's extended visit from San Francisco. So nice to have her home and our family together.

It's cold here and of course no butterflies, but we're going on a bird walk in the park this afternoon, then a yummy homemade turkey pot pie and fresh green beans for dinner 'round the fire place.

Hope all have a lovely Sunday and enjoy the love of family and friends through the holiday season!

T, that's sounds so nice and homey. Like a Norman Rockwell painting.
We're having Italian tonight for my son's 32nd birthday.

Doesn't it though? That sounds fabulous, Tabasco!!
Tonight will be my "Thanksgiving." My boyfriend has been in Europe for 3 weeks and just got in last night. My daughter has been with her dad for the Thanksgiving holiday and gets home later this afternoon. So, I've been simmering a big pot of White Chili that we'll have for dinner, and I'm thinking about making a Derby Pie as well.
