This is from Bromeliaceae

A variegated Vriesea hybrid - IMHO impossible to say which one - there are too many, especially accounting for cultural conditions. You can page through the Vriesea cultivars at www.fcbs.org (Photo index) and perhaps come to your own conclusion.

From all the photos that I could find in the Internet, it appears that it could be

Vriesea sucrei

or

Vriesea barclayana

I'm definitely confused, needless to say.

Since it is variegated and appears to be petite, I would bet that it's a tissue cultured hybrid. But that's only a guess.
