That one was soooo cute! Reminded me of my kitties when they were little. Congrats!
Sooo lucky to actually know such talented and respected people. Blessed again.
Congratulations, ladies.
I echo your sentiments,... LouC !
Great photos everyone!! Thanks for sharing!
Sorry I didn't get a chance to look and vote. :-(
Congradulations to all and especially my TX friends!
CJ, I am sorry I missed your picture, please excuse the oversight.
Josephine.
Congratulations! Beautiful pictures!
Thanks Josephine!
I, like Kim, was blown away when I saw it last Sunday. Just now realized you started this thread..lol! There were so many beautiful entries this year. I wouldn't have even entered unless Melody suggested it... :-). I had raised those particular Monarchs from eggs.
You all who entered had such great pics.. Kim's little Crescent, Hazel's Peony, and CJs doggie.... what great company!! I am honored!

I voted for your pic Deb....those monarchs were gorgeous! And there were so many beautiful pictures to choose from, it made it so hard for me.
:) Kim
I tried several times to vote in the insect category, after enduring the eternity of time it takes to download in dialup. But for some reason the voting process wasn't working, so I finally gave up. Maybe it could be set up so it's easier next year. Anyway, congrats to the winners!
Linda....my parents had a similar problem. Unfortunately anything to do with pictures just takes too long on dialup, and then their internet connection kept kicking them off. I didn't have any trouble with the actual voting though, you may want to share that with Dave.
Kim
and JATAYLOR second in insects !!

No apology needed :o) .........
I am just so glad that I found this website!!
I am from a small Texas town where it is not (MANLY) to be into gardening (flower gardening that is), and this site allows me to converse with others who enjoy one of the things that I do.
sincerely,
james taylor
I really enjoyed these wonderful pictures. I didn't even know there was a contest. Where should I look for it next year?
It is announced on Dave's forum, also on your home page if you choose to have the special events shown on your home page.
congratulations to you all. thanks for the wonderful pictures.
also, broncbuster...congratulations on your runner-up.
Ouch!! talk about missing the mark with listing the winners!! that will teach me to be more careful or do nothing.
Sorry T.J.
Josephine.
Hey Josephine, at least you got us paying attention, which I hadn't (ashamed to admit)! Congradulations to all our Texas entries!
Just ordered my calendar and two t-shirts. We can't go to Jennie's in Hawai`i without our Dave's ID.
hawaii? i knew i should have made you love me. lol. lou..............look for seeds of all kinds when you get there.
Barbara, Jennie is Braveheartsmom on the Tropical Gardening forum. We will be guests in her home. Didn't I tell you, I won the lottery! If you haven't looked at the Tropical Gardening Forum, you are missing a whole nuther world. The under-the-sea photos are into thread #7. Go to the beginning and you just won't believe it. I have become an island girl, all the while being smack dab in the middle of Texas.
really? a million dollar winner? congratulations on however much you won. and i will check out the trop. gardening forum.
sorry, bad habit. went OT. sorry.
duh? i know i am going to hate myself for asking but what's OT?
off topic
Thanks, guys! I was so surprised, and thrilled, to be in the running at all! There were so many wonderful photos!!
I tried to vote, and it took me so long in one category, that I gave up and never got back to it. And I'm on cable. I just felt overwhelmed. Too blasted hard to decide between stunning and just as stunning!
Congrats to all of you! Your photos are truly outstanding! (And it's really neat to know a first place winner personally!)
