Good morning all,
While visiting my daughter in Austin Mn I collected a few day lily seed. The only information my daughter could give me was that it had a yellowish flower.
My question is will a day lily seed germinate and produce flowers?
thanks,
Linda
CLOSED: Day Lily Seed question
Linda yes they will germinate. some say you can plant them as they are but I dry mine and put in the refrig for six weeks then plant. This just tricks it into believing it has gone through winter and it is time to break dormacy. I guess it depends if you are going to start them inside or grow them in situ. I see you are from LA .Please visit Midsouth Forum. You will find a lot of people from La posting there.
