My most incredible trade!

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Cicada dmailed me for a trade as she wants hoyas. I never dreamed in a million years that I would get this many absolutely gorgeous plants. The pressure is on to reciprocate tomorrow!

I will post a couple of pics. There are too many names begonias to even list. She also sent fantastic cultivars of bromeliads and two big orchids plus other plants.

You ask me why I am posting on the av forum and avs are not involved in this trade? The AV forum is my home base for everything!

Do you ever catch up? I don't. The box behind my wonderful goodies is full of amaryllis bulbs not yet planted.

Thank you so much Cicada.

I am going to try hard..........she needs cuttings of lipstick plants, etc plus the hoyas. You ought to see the basket I have Nan of 'Pagoda' lipstick. I am even sending her cuttings of yours that you sent to me.

Isn't this fun!

I am going to take a break and start cooking for the two big holidays ahead of us. So, don't think I am sick or gone forever (LOL)................

I need to thank Brenda for a big trade coming in tomorrow and do it now! Thanks Brenda so much.

SW, WI(Zone 4b)

Ahh...thinking ahead!
Something I need to do!

Before you go----'who' is the begonia in the second photo at the far right of the photo - the backside of the leaf is showing and there is obvious red markings on the front of the leaf?

TIA!

I don't know how you're going to get any cooking done with all those plants to pot, etc..!! (Ü)

Gail,
You are most welcome. :D I just hope the plants I sent will be some new ones for you to grow and that they all do well for you.

Happy growing,
Shirley

Nan, you are too funny. You have no idea how many plants I have that need to be taken care of (LOL)..I will cook a while, plant awhile until Christmas.

****The begonia is none other than Cleopatra. Is that not awesome! Shirley's begonias combined with mine make a good selection for spring. If you are a begonia lover, dmail me and I will put it in my folders which I use for trading reminders............

Shirley sent me some real beauties in the way of begonias........I have everything under a dome as i don't know if I will get to all of them tonight. They will love being under the dome with high humidity.

*******edited to say you may be speaking of the smaller one 'Fireflash' or something like that.........with the red back...........another fantastic selection!

Ooooh! Fireflash, I think is that Gorgeous Begonia that Brenda posted a photo of on another thread! It is AWESOME!

SW, WI(Zone 4b)

lol - OK, multi-tasking at it's best!!

I looked up both Cleopatra and Fireflas and neither one seem to look like that one, but just might be the differences in the photos.

It's in the second photo, the 'large looking' leaves way off to the right of the screen - you can see the 'splashes' of red through the back of the leaf, they're kind of 'maple-leaf shaped'??

I forgot to mention in my last post that I have traded with cicada several times and I, too, have *never* been disappointed - plus she's a great person to boot! (Ü)

Very nice trade.Wow.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Isn't that unbelievable? I will start propagating as soon as I am able. What i didn't know was that she sent over a dozen named fantastic named begonias plus all that you see!!!!!!!!!

I see the one you're looking at Nan, (way to the right and looking at the back of the leaf) it is different and I love the shape of the leaves. I would be interested in the name also. Maybe Cicada can help.

Congratulations Gessiegail on your wonderful trade.
