leaf drop

Chattanooga, TN(Zone 7b)

I dug up my more valuable brugs and potted them up. My new greenhouse is not finished yet and I am really pressed for space in the existing one. So...I put them in the dining room and they are dropping their leaves like there is no tomorrow. all my seedpods fell off and the ones not getting a spot by the window are looking bare.

It's not a moisture or bug/pest issue. The dining room is very bright and gets eastern and southern light every day, but not much direct sun unless near the window.

Is there anything I can do to help them live until the end of January when the new greenhouse will be up? Hubby has offered to 'plastic in' the side porch, but there's no heat and temps can be unpredictable here.

Yeah, unfortunately, that happens when you bring them inside. It's the change in climate, lighting, and all that stuff. The best bet is to probably just let them go dormant and give them minimal water until spring. After that, they'll bounce right back. :)
