I want to transplant a large sago about a 20 gallon full grown sago to
another location on my yard. My sister has this sago. We want to dig
it up and take the sago to our house. Will it cause it to shock after it
has been digged up? How large of a hole will i have to dig for this
sago? Any precautions to take. !!"
Sago palm transplant
I found a link with transplamting information. Scroll down past the first half. Rootball can get quite heavy. The article mentions this and recommends a manageable size — 4" diameter trunk size. If the Sago palm has a larger diameter, consider hiring a landscaper to move it for you. It may not be worth the expense.
