Here I go again..I have to cut down the Bittersweet Vine to fix the wooden fence that Abby, AKA "Cujo" decided to eat through to get to the dog on the other side..whew! If anyone would like Chinese Bittersweet...Celastrus rosthornianus...vine for postage, just drop me a line. This Bittersweet is considered invasive and can get out of control if you let it.
I am offering unrooted cuttings and I'll fill the box up. You'll need to send me a Priority Stamp for 2 lbs = $3.95 (no metered postage, please). The cutoff date for me to have your postage is 8/24...I want to get the vines down to fix the fence ASAP. I'll send rooting info with the cuttings, too. I do have some rooted volunteer vines that I'll also TRY to include with the cuttings :)

Bittersweet Vine for postage
I love Bittersweet. Used to have it in Iowa on my clothes line pole but don't think it will grow here in Texas. Just doesn't get cold enough in the winter which is what Bittersweet needs.Otherwise I would get some from you,Trish. I guess this is one of the diaadvantages of living in a hot state.
I would like some. Will get you postage on monday and get it to you. address please. will it be ok in zone 3-4?
Thanks everyone for emailing me about the Bittersweet. I do have enough people wanting the cuttings, so there should be no more Bittersweet Vine available this season. I really hate to cut the vines now, since they're setting those beautiful berries for winter color. I should have Bittersweet seeds for trade later on, since I have another vine area not being cut.
Trish
Put me on your list for seeds, my sister-in-law would just love some. I can trade or do sase.
