I'm going to need help cheating on something

I had a really great prize winning recipe for sweet potato pie that was from one of my Mom's best friends. I can't find it and believe me I have tried to find the thing. Both my Mom and her girlfriend have passed away. I thought for sure I'd be able to get my hands on Lila's recipe from one of her kids but they've lost track of it too and one of her kids thinks the recipe came from an old cookbook published by the Baptist Church their Mom went to when she was a little girl. They can't remember the name of the Church or else I would have called down there. That being said, I arrogantly entered a "friendly competition" in which there is a bake off for the best sweet potato pie. I went and opened my big mouth (counted my chickens before they were hatched) and bragged to at least 20 people about how I had this competition in the bag with a secret weapon from the south. Uh oh, not a bright move.

I don't have the time to make ten different sweet potato pies to sample the goods so to speak by taking recipes off the Internet.

Is there anyone out there who baked a sweet potato pie who won a baking contest or placed at a county faire? I am up against seasoned veterans. These woman have forgotten more than I've ever known about baking and I cockily told them all I had this in the bag and that they better watch out because the dark horse just entered the race. I don't need to win to save face or anything because they're all good people but I'd like to at least be able to present a sweet potato pie that might make them ask for a second piece.

HELP bail me out if you can! I so hate eating crow and that's what's going to happen to me if I don't get a good recipe!
