My Very First Brug!

Pembroke Pines, FL(Zone 10a)

New to Brugmansia growing. I have three of them and am very impressed with their very broad green leaves and huge beautiful yet very delicate flowers. Pictured here is the first bloom of my "Cherub." It is about 10" long.

What 3 lovely girls you have there. Congraulations. Isn't it a blast?

Can't wait to see them in full bloom. I have seen pictures of them in full bloom with twenty or more flowers.

We all want to see the little girls all decked, so take lots and lots of pictures.

Yep! I was out there for an hour or so last night admiring and sniffin my flower. Thank goodness none of the neighbors were out or they might have thought I was trying to get high? Wonder how I'm going to handle the situation when she has a dozen or so flowers??????? Have to get to a doctors appointment now but I'lllllll beeeeee baaaaaccccckkkkkk!!!!!!

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

they are lovely great pictures.

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Congratulations Tplant ! your brugs are lovely. I love it when they bloom a full flush and the entire back yard smells like perfume. My husband tried to convince me a couple weeks ago, that I needed to figure out how to get the fragrance out of the brug to market it and make a perfume. Of course I just laughed at him, but it is such a nice frangrance on a warm evening.

I'm having withdrawal symptoms, no flowers now. Good thing I have a dat. that is getting ready to bloom so I can at least sniff something (it's good, but not quite the same, huh?)

my poor dogs think they've lost their jobs, I'm the one sniffing late at night not them and my neighbor did call me asking if I was trying to get high. Invited her over to try a whiff when my were blooming. Now she can't wait for me to cut mine. I promised her a cutting.

My job is done, another one bites the dust and is hooked. Yippee!.

This is supposed to be "Cassie's Curls" but I think it is a "Cherub" instead. I bought them from Parks Seed in 3" pots. Must have been a mistake on their part as I still have the original tag on them and it calls for cassie's curls? It's OK by me as they are both very pretty. I am surprised that I have flowers already as the plants are not yet one year old. Whan I recieved them they were only two or three inches tall.

Such nice blooms Tplant!! Don't worry.. the neighbors will only stare for a few months.. then as soon as all the whispering is over.. they will just accept that this is what you do. LOL
As long as you don't do something really stupid like climb on the roof and sing to the moon, or walk around with a bloom taped to your face... they will get over it. LOL

Victoria, BC(Zone 8a)

Ya, they'll stare only for a few months... then winter comes along.. they'll stop staring. Then when spring arrives, you'll bet they'll have their binoculars dangling around their necks again. ;-)
