Hi -
It's become cooler here in Chicago and also with quite a bit less light. I have a few begonias indoors on the windowsill (Matchmaker, Sinbad, and Miniperba). They are all getting a little leggy-looking and the lower leaves, especially on Sinbad, are starting to yellow and drop. I have an eastern exposure but they are not going to get that much light during the winter.
Is this 'normal'? Should I just pare back on the watering and do they go a little dormant over the winter? I got them last February and they grew a lot over the last several months, but the days were already starting to lengthen a little at that point.
Thanks for any input!!
fall/winter indoor leaf drop?
i bring mine in during the winter. water only when very dry. mine loose some leaves during the winter, but not all
I always lose all the leaves on mine during the winter. Just cut back on the water. When spring comes I give it more light and sun and they take off.
