OK...I know it might again become winter.. I've heard they have been comming inside for some time now.. I've readied places for them.. plastic down on the cherry floors... and covered it with a fibered shade materal...and have moved the small and young inside... this fills up the alloted spaces.. well almost... now the creativity takes over..to get the really big ones in also.. a few new light rails to give the HID lighting more spread.. a 9' path on one... and 6' on another... one large HID light is stationary..and moving the light gives better light for the lower branching ...I posted cuttings on craigs list and got one call.. a lady wanting tropicals for her dark livingroom.. the budded out plants... seem so relieved it is again warm.. they flower right away.. here's Whiskers left.. and Sunset right they were first inso they got the window seat... but they might be relocated when the others arrive.. Gordon
Is it time to move things inside yet..
Beautiful colors, I love that Sunset. I moved all mine into the garage 2 weeks ago because of heavy frost warnings, today it is 76 degrees, bright and sunny. Go figure. My poor brugs don't know if it's winter or summer.
So wonderful to have blooms in the house! Some consolation for having to haul them in. :)
There aren't any blooms on mine now. I do have something starting to grow on my yellow noid, not sure if it is going to produce blooms or seeds. The two little critters aren't big enough to tell yet.
That is so cool, it's breathtaking. All of yours are.
Whatever is growing on mine is only about an inch to an inch and a half. I think I would for it to be seed pods. This was my first year to ever grow brugs and out of 5 sticks 2 bloomed, a pink one and a yellow ones. I would love to try these from seeds.
I hope you have enough space inside for all of them beauties.
I've brought mine indoors but they're burnt by frost. I'm letting them go dormant with minimal watering, but I don't have space to keep them over the winter. They are dropping their leaves in my front hall now.
I'm going to try taking some cuttings, and just keep the stems dormant. I've read from my other thread (Dangerous situation) that you can take 'long' cuttings which develop roots in frequently-changed water.
I have my hopes high... these were spectacular this summer and into October. I am north of you, Gordon, and much colder, sooner. I'll share my experience with you. My Strawberry Creme really did smell like its name!

I'm glad that Whiskers is doing well for you and has a window spot. :) Everything looks good there in NY!!
yes.. Whiskers is still blooming nicely... she di have an experience of a pollon nature last night .. she was sprinkled by Soft Pink... [ which looks decidedly orange ] but was blooming next to her ..
So.. I moved in the little things.. the great ones.. and some other favorites... who really needs three HG's anyway... I went to a friend to see if he wanted any cuttings... to propigate up... to go with his huge pile of unknown orange ones.. in 40 agl concrete planters his guys move about with a fork lift... .. well he asked if I wanted to overwinter any,, and I did have about 10 ...8' trees... he said he's be happy to... so I'm only in a million plants... and these big ones get to live off site in his new greenhouse... to replace the 30' tall one he had to remove for work on the pier where he is..[ and he had a bird of paradise that was about at the roof... flowering alll along the big trunk..] this is a picture of the main building... under about 3 dozen HID lights.. in maybe 10,000 sq ft.. ..also gave him a big [ 20 ' ] passion vine to go around the pool on the wall.. for scale... the top of the rock is about 14' off the floor..

Wow, Gordon, that's lovely! Andycdn, I never change the water on my big brugs rooting over winter... I just add additional water and keep an aquarium pump running with an airstone in the bucket. By spring the bucket will be full of roots. The blooms do help as a consolation for all the work lugging stuff in.
