Best catalog?

Chesapeake, VA

OK, who has the best catalog out for seeds? What is your favorite catalog, and why?

Hopkinsville, KY

I like Sandhill Preservations on line listing; not exactly a catalog, but lots of tomatoes listed with detail information summaries.

Chesapeake, VA

I'll check it out.

Hey Guys; Sandhill does have a paper catalog for both seeds and poultry. They have great prices and selection, however you have to order early as they are rather slow in sending out seed orders.I posted this in another thread and has a lot of great companies that I buy from

Most of these have a paper catalog and you'll receive them once you order from them.

I think Thompson & Morgan is my favorite seed catalog. I feel like I've been all around the world after I look at everything in it, because of the variety in it.

Tony Avent's Plant Delights catalog is a hoot. I love his informal commentary about different plants. It makes you feel like he is right beside you, walking through his garden, and chatting with you about it.

Thanks for the list, zebraman. I visited the SandHills Preservation website link, and was delighted to see the poultry. My neighbor had chickens (and ducks, and geese...) when I was growing up, and I loved it. I've always wanted to raise chickens...one day, maybe I will. Unfortunately, the city grew up around my home, the neighborhood changed, the zoning changed, and I can't raise chickens here.

No really fresh eggs for me. Only store-bought ones, it seems.

Gee, now I want to find a farmer's market...

Greensboro, NC(Zone 7a)

I get tons of catalogs and some of my favorites are:
T&M
Chiltern
Fothergills
Seed Saver's Exchange
J.L. Hudson
Stokes

Some have photos and great descriptions and some just have a huge variety of choices. The ones with no photos usually have a lot of information given about the items.
