Before me is a pile of recipes for cookie frosting. I am
seeking THE best recipe but am having a bit of difficulty.
I would like to find a cookie frosting that is not gooey, sticky or
sloppy. Not drippy or wet, but rather a nice frosting that will
pipe well in decorator tubes, yet will not turn rock hard when
exposed to the air for a bit. The frosting should 'dry' so to speak
so they may be stacked without ruining all the hard work in
decorating them.
The cookie itself is somewhat bland, with the sweet icing making
up for it. My cousin has made family famous cookies for years, but
when I received her recipe, it called for raw eggs in the frosting. Love
her to pieces, but have to pass on the raw egg routine.
I'm bound and determined to make the most beautiful holiday
cookies this year, could you assist?
Many thanks,
Karen Marie
P.S. I don't mind using Crisco.
Do you have THE perfect cookie frosting / icing recipe?
