Sorry no pics; its rainy and dark here. Edited to add some pics in next post.
I was just out filling the feeders and not 15 feet in front of me was a male Pine Sisken!
The lady that owns the bird shop I frequent has been telling me to keep an eye out for them and finally today their here!
Its always so nice to get a new bird in the yard and on your list. :-) Pelle :-)

No but from far away they might be confused w/ a female House Finch. :-)
me too, Mrs._Ed :)
LOL! I forgot about this thread! It must have been in the back of my mind. I just noticed them for the first time too after talking birds with my neighbor! I just posted some pics in the bird feeder thread. Like minds think alike lol!
Yes! Their beaks are so pointy looks like it would really hurt if they jabbed w/ it. :-)
Hi Mrs Ed, Pine Siskens in 1st pic and in 2nd pic Pine Sisken on left and American Goldfinch on right.
Yep, that's what I was hoping! Yay! I THOUGHT they looked a little Stripey!
:D
Very cute! Look at that pointy beak, its a Pine Sisken.
I love that picture, Bebop!
Looks like it might be a female.
Yes very nice pics!
Pelle,
Thanks for showing the Pine Sisken pics, esp.the first one (next to a Goldfinch). I'll have to start looking better when I see the Goldfinches!
