WooHoo New Bird in the Yard!!

Marlton, NJ

Sorry no pics; its rainy and dark here. Edited to add some pics in next post.

I was just out filling the feeders and not 15 feet in front of me was a male Pine Sisken!

The lady that owns the bird shop I frequent has been telling me to keep an eye out for them and finally today their here!

Its always so nice to get a new bird in the yard and on your list. :-) Pelle :-)

No but from far away they might be confused w/ a female House Finch. :-)

LOL! I forgot about this thread! It must have been in the back of my mind. I just noticed them for the first time too after talking birds with my neighbor! I just posted some pics in the bird feeder thread. Like minds think alike lol!

Yes! Their beaks are so pointy looks like it would really hurt if they jabbed w/ it. :-)

Okay, not the best of pix, but this was from November 2nd. I had to snap it quick before I left the house. I thought perhaps they were female goldfinches but seemed really small. So, I'm guessing this was a pine siskin visit?

Pelletory, this sweet little guy showed up at the water dish in mid-October. I was puzzled and figured maybe a baby finch. Do you think he's a Pine Siskin? Another pic follows.

Pelle,

Thanks for showing the Pine Sisken pics, esp.the first one (next to a Goldfinch). I'll have to start looking better when I see the Goldfinches!

All great photos!
