Would be so cool if...

...all the blooms were to stay like this. This is a cutting from my 'Axelrose'. We had so much rain this summer that a number of my extablished trees rotted from the roots up. 'Axelrose' was one of the lucky few I was able to save. I cut several branches and rooted them. Two are blooming now and this is the first bloom on this one.

As you can see, it's semi-shredded. It's more like it has petals than really shredded.

We had a summer of hot/drought, NOW they are blooming, inside.

Pretty bloom Carter. Let's see more pics as it blooms.

Axel is lovely! More than I thought I'd ever say about Axel Rose...the er...performer, not the brug:-)

Thanks, all. For those unfamiliar with 'Axelrose', I forgot to mention it's blooms are not normally shredded. Here is a another pic with "normal" flowers. This is the other branch that is blooming. She really is very nice and a good performer. 'Axelrose' is one of my favorites.

She's a beauty! It would have been cool is all the blooms had the shredded appearance.
