How'd they do this?

Okay - I came across this picture at Zoe's tropical website. The pot looks like there are at least 6 different plants in one pot! I LOVE this but how could it be possible to get that many (blooming) exotics in one pot - they would have to be mere 2" dia roots to get them all fitted into one pot. Is there anyway to truly acheive this - I really love the look but would think unless you have all the plants with the same water/sun requirements this look would only last a short time. I can identify Rainbow Christi, Mystic Pink, Georgia Pearl, Path...?

I would say they probably used the pot as a vase to show up some of their plants.

That would be my thought as well.

That was my first thought too :o)

Or maybe they had one plant in the pot, and they picked flowers off of some other hibiscus and perched them on top.

Hello,
When I do this I have a donor plant with beautiful green leaves and then comes the floral wire and blooms. Pluck the stems from the blooms and put the wire in the back of the blooms. Cut to desired lengths stick it in the soil and shape the wire with the blooms on it to fill the plant. Also, I sometimes do this with a vase and floral foam and floral wire.

Thanks for the input - I knew it was too good to be true - just wondered if there was some nursery secret to put that many plants into one container of soil! :)
