Cabin fever hit again....

so I went to the coast for some birding. Took 275 pics have narrowed them down to 26. First I went to the Smith River and renewed a couple of old acquaintances.........

and

Then saw this sand bar covered with Brown Pelicans.. this is just a few of them.

White- winged Scoter and Ca. Gull ?

Horned Grebe and Scoter

Great Egret

Red-shouldered Hawk.

Greater Yellowlegs

Belted Kingfisher... the fog was really thick now.

The next day I went to the Arcata Marsh............Ruby-crowned Kinglet?

Turkey Vulture

Mallards

Snowy Egret ?

Black-crowned Night Heron.

Cinnamon Teal.

Thanks so much for sharing your rather dramatic finds. The pelicans must have been awesome in their numbers, and the hawks and everything else are just so well captured. Most enjoyable!

Great results from a remedy for cabin fever! The potion is rubbing off on me, helps with brick house fever.

Thanks Resin.....that means I added ten birds to my list...a worthwhile trip. Anyone interested in the Arcata Marsh can do a google search and learn all about it. Worth seeing and the lady at the Interpetive Center is very helpful.

Also checked again, the two with the American Coot are Lesser Scaup.
