so I went to the coast for some birding. Took 275 pics have narrowed them down to 26. First I went to the Smith River and renewed a couple of old acquaintances.........
Cabin fever hit again....
Thanks so much for sharing your rather dramatic finds. The pelicans must have been awesome in their numbers, and the hawks and everything else are just so well captured. Most enjoyable!
Wow adel you are becoming one of our most well traveled birders here. :-)
Nice pics!
Great results from a remedy for cabin fever! The potion is rubbing off on me, helps with brick house fever.
White- winged Scoter and Ca. Gull ?
White-winged Scoter and Western Gull
The next day I went to the Arcata Marsh...Ruby-crowned Kinglet? .... Snowy Egret ? .... Catte Egret ?
Yep, yep, yep
? .... Coot and ? ?
Scaup, probably Lesser Scaup (but pics not clear enough to totally rule out Greater Scaup)
Resin
Thanks Resin.....that means I added ten birds to my list...a worthwhile trip. Anyone interested in the Arcata Marsh can do a google search and learn all about it. Worth seeing and the lady at the Interpetive Center is very helpful.
