This one got my attention!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

This is one of my seedlings. It is a huge plant and has never had any bugs of any kind.. grows like crazy.. now let's just hope it blooms in the heat! I don't really care about color that much.... she has been totally carefree so far! The scent is true brug scent.. so clean and fresh.. I am liking her more and more! The blooms are not 100% mature yet.. maby tomorrow.

edited to add.. the hybridizer is Brenda Delph. Seeds were a gift for a website purchase!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

ZZsBabiez,

That is a really nice looking TRIPLE that you have there. Brenda did a great job of hybridizing, and you a great job of growing out the seeds. Who are the parents of this new triple?

The blooms should look better and better as the seedling grows and works out the kinks.

Congrats to you and Brenda!!!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Nice triple, ZZ. I bet this one is going into the new gh.

Thank you AngelTree.. :)

Thank you David.. (HDW x Vpeach) x (Rothkirch x Susanne) I didn't get my hopes up cause it takes sooo long to open and it's less than attractive until it's open.

Thank you Tussee.. You know it's gonna have to get a HUGE haircut.. it's probably close to 7' tall..

Bluffton, SC(Zone 9a)

how do you get such nice flowers? you should register some of the ones you cross

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

I would gladly send you postage for some cuttings when you give her a haircut. I love that the calx covers the corolla neck.

Congrats, Joyce!! :)

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL @ Liz.. LOL you always crack me up! Yeah, I hope it stays with me for a long time too!!!

Well there you are Felicia! I thought you packed up and went to a Monster truck show or something. LOL You know I just didn't wanna get my hopes up on another triple.. only to get a deformed mess.. so I tried to ignore it as long as I could. :)

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

Joyce, if I had a passport, I'd be in Stockholm now and then on my way to Helsinki -- TRULY!! Sorry so quiet, just a bit busy.
You definitely held out on us with this one!! ;) She is gorgeous!!! More pictures???

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Yeah, I know Felicia... but absence makes the heart grow fonder. :)

It's not coloring or doing anything else.. just smellin good.

Well, ok. She is a nice creamy color, and it is the fall, so her color may be different next spring/summer. If not, she's still very pretty and has a nice shape to her, and can be used for hybridizing. ;)

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

She looking good Joyce !! I can imagine how excited you are.

Portland, OR

Beautiful Joyce!!!! I'm learning so much. I had no idea before I started reading this forum that
there were doubles and triples and so many beautiful skirts! Thanks for teaching me:)

Wow! A Tribling! It must be exciting to look at and these types are rare. Take it as a good sign, when a seedling has a fat calyx and it takes a zillion years to open, it is probably a double or better waiting to peek out : )

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Tonny! A Tribling.. that is toooo funny!
This brug is a giant... the leaves are big, the buds are huge.. the anthers are too big to fit in the tubes and even the stamen was almost the size of a Q tip!
Giant Tribling.. LOL I love it.

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

How long are the fully opened flowers? Without a point of reference it hard to tell how large they are.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

The buds were a little over 8" when they started to split. The bloom is only 13" long and 6" wide. Here is a pic from just now.

Mc Call Creek, MS

ZZ, that is a very special plant! The flower form is lovely besides the fact that they are triples.

What does Brenda say about this one? Just from the pictures I believe it has lots of promise!

Congratulations to you both!

Kay

Chickenville, FL(Zone 9a)

I agree, I think it is special colored or not. The shape of that flower is awesome! as they say, 'dat baby got back' curves everywhere. I would buy that one in a second!

St. Paul, MN(Zone 4b)

Wow, that is amazing. Wow again!

Erick

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Thank you Kay! That's about what Brenda says.

The other 2 buds are opening.. I am just as thrilled as I was when the first 2 opened! I'm so simple. LOL

Thank you Angel.. That's funny! I gotta tell my kids.. LOL

Thankz Erick! That's kinda how I feel every time I stick my nose up in the bloom..
