Oh they are sooo adorable!

Love the hanging heads! You have some beautiful girls. How do you keep your coop and perches so clean? Mine sure don't look like that. Guinea poop stains everything!

That brown one sure stands out. What kind is it?

Woodsville, NH

that is supposed to be a red silkie, I hatched a bunch and ordered 4 just in case they didn't hatch, he has red waddles and crest and regular skin unlike the ones I hatched. His name is Red and he's a brat!

you mean you guys have guineas that go to the chicken house every night? do they stay locked upin pens during the day, or do they roam. Mine never would go to the hen house at night and I lost them all eventually, I want to get more this spring, but How do I get them to return to the house every evening when the chickens do.

You need to go by the book on guineas! I hatched mine and raised them according to Gardening with Guineas here is a link to thier message board.http://www.guineafowl.com/board/index.php
Keeping them in their coop/pen for the proper amount of time is key! Each and every night everyone has gone in except Bluebell got freak by the plow guy yesterday afternoon and spent the night in the trees, she is in the coop right now though! Mine have been free ranging since they were 12 wks old with everyone else!

Thanks for the link, I can't let my little ones free range till their too big for the hawks and crows to not be able to swoop up, i've had 4 months old be liftedup off the ground.

LoraK - Have to agree with yhou on Gardening with Guineas - I followed it also, and my guineas return to the coop/pen every night. With the cold snowy weather, and the ice storm we are in now, they don't even want to leave it! The guineas are hilarious. I love them. Love my chickens, too.
