cute idea for starting plumeria seedlings

this link http://mrbrownthumb.blogspot.com/2006/04/home-made-greenhouse.html was posted on the southwest forum. looks like a fun winter project for starting seeds. hmmm...i don't like having soda in the house but this will be worth all the sugar and caffeine. haha!

Simple, but looks like it would work well. I don't know about putting 100's of seeds in a single bottle at one time though. It would be very tedious to separate them all out.

Dunno about stick a bunch of seeds in one bottle, I have one going in a bottle. And that one's happy as can be.. Under grow lights, it's stem has double in thickness and growing new leaves all the time.. I also put the lid on occasionally to give it additional humidity if I think it need it..

i went with putting mine in individual 1-gal containers.

Dete, is that pearlite or rocks on the tops of the containers? If it is rocks, what is the purpose?

davie - that's the rock called pumice. i mix it with any soil that i purchase.
