I want to find the best aroid/ tropical nurseries in Florida. Does anyone have a favorite nursery in florida?
Florida Nurseries
I don't have many nurseries in my area anymore but I'm sure there are some great ones elsewhere in the state! You should post this question over on the Florida Gardening Forum! I bet you'd get lots of responses!
The best nurseries are usually the ones that are run by hobbiest rather than regular nursery people here is a list of my favorite places to visit no paticular order.
Tropiflora
natural selections
Steve and marie nocks
LariAnn's place
Palm hammock
Silver Krome
Here are some that use to be great but are no longer around
Tropical world
Merkels orchids
Right before Gainsville is a amazing botanical garden called the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens, They sell some nice plants and have a very nice garden that is rarely seen. Tons of amorphophallus growing wild and other tropicals make it a must stop on my list.
Tropical World (Boynton Beach) was almost bought out about a year ago, but the sale fell through.
It was still open last February. I loved it!

I'm making my list! These sound great! I've been to tropiflora before and will make sure that I go to all the rest of them as well.
