Looks like on of the larger Persicarias to me - which one, I don't know.
There are quite a few!

I believe she has that one growing in her garden, and she works as a gardener on Bainbridge Island. She will likely know what it is.

Yes, that is the plant. My friend just emailed me yesterday and ID'd it as this plant.

My friend didn't say where she purchased to plant, but I will ask her when I talk to her again. I've seen some pictures of your nursery in one of the PNW threads and it looks like somewhere I would love to wander through myself.
