Look who I finally captured on film!!!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

I had seen this beautiful Zebra Longwing many times at the greenhouse grounds and was never able to get a good picture, but the other day it finally happened, she posed fro me and made me one happy woman.
These are rare in north Texas so I am thrilled to see it, enjoy!!

Well isn't that cool, Josephine! I wished I saw more of them here. They are supposed to be our state butterfly! I had 2 last year that lived in my yard. This year there were none. How exciting to get a butterfly that isn't normally found in your area!

Way to go Josephine!!! Just so happened I can 'high five' with you on that one!! I almost forgot because I was so busy today. My picture isn't great but enough to show it was here. First one I have seen in my yard and first I have gotten to photograph. Had to chase him down then I couldn't keep the camera still.

That's cool, Josephine. I see them everyday in my yard, but haven't been fast enough to get a picture this year yet. I think I got just one picture last year, but I can't find it right now.

They are beautiful butterflies, and are so graceful while they are flying. My favorite Florida butterfly. : )
