Victoria, BC(Zone 8a)

Sunset is helping me cook this afternoon. She loves the sunshine glowing through the kitchen window.

Hey Teresa_in_BC that is so wonderful I have one that I am waiting for as well who knows what color it is.....

Victoria, BC(Zone 8a)

Do you mean that you have a "Sunset" as well? It should be a peachy colour, but who knows what will happen in the kitchen! LOL!

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

Yes I do have a sunset I only wish that was the one that was going to bloom............

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

Do you think you could help my Mountain Magic help me with dinner too? :)
Very nice shots, Teresa!

Victoria, BC(Zone 8a)

LOL Felicia. She's giving me moral support in helping me with dinner. Her buds are too delicate to be chopping up onions! ;-) I wouldn't hear of it!

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

See, MM just distracts me with her bloom, scent and pod (yes, she pregnant!!!). So, I just end up burning everything....

Chopping onions. LOL!!! :)

WoooHooooo! Congratulations! Who's the Daddy?

No wonder you burnt dinner! I would have too!

Jeffersonville, IN(Zone 6b)

That's where it gets sad, Teresa. I don't know who the daddy is. The only ones blooming in close proximity of her were: Orange Custard, Everlasting and Adeline. There were others blooming that night as well, but they were further away.

Actually, French Onion Soup sounds awesome!!! You do put tons of Mozzarella on top, right? Hmmmm ... I'm getting hungry!!

Victoria, BC(Zone 8a)

Oh bummer... but I'm sure the babies will be gorgeous! The ones who were near her sound lovely, as well!

Yes, I put home made croutons on top (chopped up french bread spiced with garlic and a bit of salt, sprinkled with parmessan cheese and baked at a VERY low heat, to dry out the bread for about 45 mins.) then load it up with mozzeralla cheese and broiled in the oven.

Ooops, you got me off track! LOL! I was just gonna say that I preformed ZZ's midwife trick.

Felicia your MM is to die for!

Oh My , that soup sound wonderful ! I have never grown Sunset, be sure to take pictures of her helping you out in the kitchen.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

What a beautiful flower you have grown...and you also cook? When I remodeled the kitchen, I told SH we needed to replace the stove units, and he said, "Why, you have not used these yet!" :)

LOL Oh Tussee that is soooo funny! LOL I'm crackin up.

Victoria, BC(Zone 8a)

That's hilarious Tussee! I have a friend who hates to cook and she has a sign in her kitchen that says.... "The only reason I have this kitchen is because it came with the house!"

Here's the young lady this evening.

Oops, the beautiful flower belongs to Felicia, but your flower is coming along. Just a few more days now...hope she doesn't smell like onions. BTW, I love French onion soup. Oh yes.

The only time I cook around here is Christmas. Even the animals know it's Christmas time as I create havoc with flour everywhere and all the counters are covered with pots and pans. They stand and stare at me waiting for tidbits of turkey, while I'm standing there trying to remember how to cook the darn thing. After my son pulled out that paper pouch with the neck and other small parts inside the cavity one year, I now remember to remove it before cooking. There should be a sticker somewhere on the bird telling you what's hidden away!

LOLOLOLOL!!!!! I totally know what you mean. I did the same thing... not noticing ... many moons ago. Then I thought it was a great little treat for my cats, but they've turned their noses up at the stuff... so into the bin, it goes.

I've now graduated in my turkey cooking skills. I buy the "cook from frozen" turkey without the bones. I LOVE it and it's fantastic for left-over turkey recipes.

.... *wondering how this turned into a recipe thread*

OH , I guess that would be SS and I cooking onion soup! LOL!

Corning, NY(Zone 5a)

Sunset looks very close to your stove, I bet you are getting help, the distracting kind, I would be.
