I brought this in as a house plant last year. This year it matured at the water edge in about 2 inches of water. It puts out these long runners (photos on down) that produce new plants. It reminds me of a spiderplant or airplane plant. The person I got it from didn't know the name.
Can you I.D. this bog/marginal water plant?
With it being an aquatic plant and forming stolons, I'd guess it is one of the Sagittaria family (lots of them) google images of that name and you might spot which one...

I think you mean Alismataceae family. I would lean more toward the sword plants (Echinodorus) or Alisma myself.
