Hey guys & gals! I cut down my moonflower today and dug it up to put my spring bulbs in thier place, and was wondering if these huge moonvine roots would be viable to anyone in a warmer climate? I live in zone 5, so they won't survive, here, but they are hardy to zone 8 & above, right? Anyways, I would hate to throw all these out, I have about 30 good size roots if anyone is interested in trying to grow them. If this isn't possible, let me know and I will regrettable pitch them!
Moonflower Roots
I grow moonflowers here in zone 6, but they do not grow back. Every year I have to replant them.
Sorry about that. It is zone 8 and not zone 6
So I should probably pitch them then unless I want a vine to replant next year? Just seems like a pain. I would have to pollinate it and such myself, if it even bloomed indoors. Thanks for the tip!
