Confused

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

I purchased a plant on Ebay that was listed as Anthurium papillilaminum. When the plant arrived, it had a tag in it saying Faustino' Giant. This plant looks identical to the Anthurium faustomirandae that I purchased from Brian. I can't find any pics of the Anthurium papillilaminum on the internet. Is the papillilaminum and faustomirandae the same plant. The plant on the left is from Brian.

I don't know for sure if the "papillilaminum" is even a valid name, but the plant you were sent is A. faustomirandae. I've been hybridizing with that plant and also growing them from selfed seed and the smaller specimens look very similar to both of your plants in the pictures. I hope you didn't pay a premium for the alleged "papillilaminum".

For the record, here is a picture of the A. papilliaminum:

You can see a clear difference between what you have there and this plant.

Thanks, LariAnn.

They both look to be faustomirandae. Main problem their is most people don't have room for just the one.
