How to root Fire and Ice and snow Queen ? The fire and I one rooted by bending a stem over and covering it with soil .I need to get these ready for winter zone 8b. Do I cut them back ? I would like to take some cuttings just in case they don't survive the winter.
Linda, try cutting some 8" tips, leave only a couple of small leaves on top and strip the rest. Dip cut ends in rooting powder like Rootone or one of the dip products to encourage rooting. Place in clean perlite in protected spot with part sun, water daily, and many will root within 12 weeks.
