Anyone know this plant

Are there any spines along the leaf edges (even very tiny ones)?

It looks like an Aechmea (generally with spines) although it could be a Guzmania (no spines). Both have tubular flowers and are quite variable.

It is a Guzmania, that much I know (it is spineless). I know it is some type of hybrid. I usually don't like to buy unlabeled but I thought it was very nice and hope to find the name somwhere.

Have you browsed through www.fcbs.org At least if you know it's a guzmania that'll narrow it down a bit.

Great! Now I know what to ask for, LOL! That's really a pretty plant; it kind of reminds me of aechmea gamosepala with a different color scheme.

I have to agree with you, it is very nice. Came across a pic of a Guzmania species, G. sprucei, I am wondering that is what it is.
