Okay, did I get this one right--polyphemus moth? I think that's the right one, but my field guide doesn't show these feather antennae.
Big dark eyes on the hind wings, but it's dessicated. I can't open them for a photo without breaking something.

pbtx, that sure looks like a Polyphemus moth, poor little guy. The males have feathery antennae like his, the females are less feathery.
