Photo Contest... Where are all the Brugs!?

High Desert, NV(Zone 5a)

I was so looking forward to seeing all the lovely Brugs that I can't seem to grow. LOL

A few years ago there was a whole category for them, this time, no category and very few photos. I submitted one (of the only Brug that grows for me,) mites and all. But I had expected some great pictures. Where are all the double pinks? And I was so waiting for more pictures of the oranges especially the double oranges (hint hint Monika).

Please indulge me with a few pictures,
Melissa

If they had the same summer as I did they had very few blooms due to dry, cold weather, I had lovely blooms last year, this year the best I ghot was after I brought them into the house.

It surely was a bad year for brugs. Hopefully we get a better crop next year.

Kareoke; to have them bloom indoor, your're doing great with them. This is my first year that I'm bringing some brugs indoor. So far, I'm pleased as to how it turned out.

This was a terrible year for blooms for me! I didn't even get any real good pics.. surely nothing worthy of a contest! Hopefully 2008 will be better

Lily, that is a nice pink!

ZZ I only entered mine because it is such a Doctor Seuss looking picture. Bare, leggy, but with blooms, certainly nothing that is going to win. It wasn't its best year for sure, but it bloomed a few times. Because mine is a houseplant and lives in the front room it never does fantastic, but always seems to do ok.

Thanks Tom, we're looking forward to a better year, definately. :-)

We also had a horrible growing season, drought/hot.

All inside loaded with blooms. Have some in bedroom, and at night the smell is wonderful.

hello everyone popped in to visit this site because I have received my first brug this year and I love it... Here is my best pic of the year. The plant has bloomed in flushes from Spring until now... needless to say I am elated... shirleyt
