I saw this gorgeous begonia in both HD and Wal Mart crowded in with all kinds of Rexes so I'm assuming it is some kind of rex but was hoping someone could ID it with an actual name for me.

If you found that at HD and Wal-Mart, then that is great. I'd like to see begonias sold more mainstream than shopping around at mail order places.
I could be wrong but I could almost bet that is B. 'Fireflush'. There is another one called B. 'Curly Fireflush' which has very similar colors but does have a spiral at the junction of the stem and leaf.
About three weeks ago Wal Mart had a ton of these in big pots and selling for $5.97.......HD also had a lot and they were from the same grower and set up the same way with pretty foil paper around the pot but they wanted $9.97. I just took pictures as I don't do well with Rexes but now I'm wishing I would have at least tried as I think this is so beautiful!!

Maybe they will make their way here. I have bought some nice cane begonias from HD this year - 8 inch pots of different canes for the amazingly low price of $3.97. You can't even touch a small 3 inch pot for that price via mail order.
I saw on CBS (I think) about a woman from Illinois who sells 1 million pumpkins a year to Wal-Mart and has seen her family farm grow from 15 acres to 5,000. It would seem that growers would want to get contracts with the big box stores to 1) make more money for themselves and 2) get the products out to the masses.
Here is B. 'Taurus' I got at a HD in LA when I was there in Sep. It had a lot of bad leaves from being too wet and being packed in a suitcase but it seems to have responded well. I think it was around 8 or 9 dollars.
