We are passing out goodies to all of the little chillins' tonight. We usually have about 50 kids. I am not sure where all of them come from since I don't think there are more than 10 kids I know of the few streets around ours.
Don't know what happened to the cute picture I had loaded. Darn it.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN
We usually get around 125 or so---this year I'm lockin the door and hiding in the dark-----it's a pain with the dogs constantly barking---
i have never had any. am hoping for some this year. i get tired of having to eat all the candy myself
happy halloween threegardeners (LOL)
Happy halloween Gail :)))
I am giving you a hard time for not wanting to pass out goodies to the kids! Kids are wonderful and give us a reason to live.........not just our own but the world's kids.
I know you were :))
(LOL)........bah humbug....more (LOL)
BOO!
We have not had any Trick or Treaters in quite a few years! Guess all the neighborhood kids have grown up! It suits me just fine though. In this day and age I don't like having anyone ring my door bell after dark unless it's someone I know! I bought 3 large bags of candy just in case, but as usual hubby will be taking it to school tomorrow to his students! College kids LOVE the candy!
Looks like I will be spending all day Friday baking! Some of the student organizations on campus are having fund raisers all day Saturday for a young man who works at the University who was involved in a hit and run accident a couple of months ago. He was on his bicycle on his way home from work and someone hit him and took off! They never found the car or driver! The young man was in the hospital for over a month and is now at home recuperating and still going through a lot of Physical Therapy. Anyway, there's a bake sale Saturday afternoon before our ladies Volleyball game and again Saturday night before the mens Basketball game! I am baking bunches of cookies, brownies and cup cakes for the bake sale!
Well, I hope y'all had a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween! I do not like Halloween anymore. Some of the costumes and props are just way too gruesome for my taste. I remember the old days when there wasn't so much scary and horror stuff! I've never been one for horror movies or the violent ones. I guess I just shoulda lived in a different era.
Have a good nite all!
Not all the kids are doing bad things...........my grands went to their grandmother's house with their friends and parents because there are so many children on the street and they all know one another. My youngest granddaughter asked her mom if she could stand at Granny's door and hand out candy because that was more fun than getting the candy. They were all dressed up in costumes with my 6 year old grandson dressed as Elvis! What a hoot.
Have fun baking tomorrow. College kids will always keep you young and enthusiastic because they are so much fun to be around.
HAPPY BAKING LIN
