euonymus leaf notcher is swarming MD,VA

Today we noticed these small moths swarming all over the hedge. Its a recently identified Maryland and Virginia non native pest that will strip euonymus. Here's my bugfiles entry for it. Interestingly, I had the comment that that swarmed on the same date , Oct 30, last year too. I now have a reason to feel OK about not getting around to pruning these hedges earlier this fall; now when I prune I'll be getting rid of some of the eggs.

Does this mean it's time to move the clocks back? What kind of Euonymus is it eating?

Huh. Interesting. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I have the old evergreen Euonymus, japonicus? but I think it eats the other kinds too, In fact I did notice a wild burning bush that got stripped this year in my fence line, so I guess that was good news.
