Boy, it's amazing how fast our Silkie's have grown. They sure don't stay little very long. I'm thrilled to say that even the little one that I was worried about has florished. Here are some pics I took this morning.

I thought this pic was cute. Our lovebird, Sammie, I believe would like to be a Silkie. He loves to hang out with them.
Oh sure! You had to go post those didn't you!?! Now my 12 year old wants blue silkies. LOL Thank goodness she forgot about the black ones for now. ;)
That lovebird does not even look real! My 14 year old thought it was not. Geesh.

Are you stalking me silkiechick?? LOL We have buffs and white. We went out and worked with the white male for a bit. At first he got loose and attacked a cat. What a character that bird is! We put him on his back, held his feet and talked to him for a bit then put him back in the pen.
I haven't named many of my silkies, I do have Red a very red roo, Obama, my white roo, Dee is my partridge hen and Splash Gordon, my blue splash, he is quite the character
lol, no just every time i go to post you seam to be posting lately to. i have, white, buff, splash, partriage and soon i'll have frizzle of them in blue/black/splash and buff about 3 days from now!! i wish mine would attack my friends cats they are evil cats,lol.
i try to name all my birds but some look identical so i can't tell them apart no way to tell who is who. i have 100+ so it get's hard to remember them all but i try to the best i can. they are all my babies so i love them up reguardless but i wish i could name them all and remember them cause they do deserve to each have one. i'm trying to pick out certain features to teach myself who is who so i can try too but untill i can learn how to tell them apart some have to go by band #'s i'm affraid.

awe i wish i could let mine out like that but it's way to cold here now. yep it's called a sizzle ya have to cross them with a frizzled cochin then back to silkies. i'll see if i can find pics of some later to post for ya. i don't know if feathersite has any posted on there to see or not. i raise silkies and showgirls so far. showgirls are a silkie x turken then crossed back to silkie. this is what those grow up to look like, here are some of my breeeders for them.

Well now i have to have silkies again. After looking at these and then going to my friends farm who has silkies yesterday i am hooked again. I had forgot how soft and sweet they are.

thank you! i love silkies too!! yep they each have their own personalities that's why i have so many,lol. cause i always find a reason i fall in love with them and can't part with them. my girls always look like santa though,lol. i don't think i have any non bearded silkies.
i ordered mine from a nice lady from the byc forum called jaynie. she is a real nice person, i had none broken in ship, excellet packageing, great prices and her stock looks very nice. this is her site and it has pics of her sizzles and explains about them. www.knightschicks.com i have seen hatch pics of babies others have hatched out from her all have been real nice cuties too! mine are due in 3 days. i candled yesterday cause i forgot till then out of 12 eggs i have had to take out 1 clear so i'm impressed that is excellent on shipped and she is npip certified also. i cannot wait to see the babies!!! she also takes paypal and ships fast.
