Here is the info for you dog-loving readers out there:
Merle's Door: Lessons from a Freethinking Dog (Unabridged)By: Ted Kerasote

No...I am not working for the publisher to sell copies of this book. The thing is, I bought it from Audible and listened to it last week. I had the "dog of a lifetime" in my beloved Molly (who passed 12 yrs. ago) and this book just brought back all of the emotions from that time in my life. It also made me even more appreciative of the elderly dog who shares my life, these days...she is not the dog of my dreams but a wonderful, sweet little girl who enriches the life of my family.

Merle chose the author of this book when they met in the wilds of Utah (I believe). Kerasote took Merle home to WY and the life they had together was a real learning experience. Every dog "owner" will benefit from the reading of this book. It's rich with research information alongside exciting adventures and experiences that will bring smiles to your face (because you have had some of these with your own canine).

I know this isn't the place for a book review. It's just that the book so enriched the relationship I have with my dog...I wanted to share that with you. If you get the chance to read this one--do.
