coptis chinensis

Ahh. Went back and read the other links. Thanks for the research, MaVieRose. I think it wouldn't work up here in our dry zone 5 or 6 mountains. Darn.

Yeah, Richo from Horizon doesn't have any plants. I've tried seeds before, but had no luck. That's why I want the plants. Ah, well, the search continues.

u're welcome roybird. accdg to my herb book, it is commonly known as Goldthread.

this plant is cultivated in moist to wet, rich, slightly acid soil in shade.

Chinese Goldthread is propagated by seed sown when ripe; or by division in spring.

this plant is hardy in zones 7-10.
