Although I shop Lowe's, Home Depot and Southern States I only know of one garden center that has a standing senior citizen discount day. Does your local garden center have a discount day?? If so please post the info.

I just thought folks might want to know when there is a chance to save some money. Every Tuesday is senior discount day (10%) at The Great Big Greenhouse in Richmond, VA. I think the start age is 55 so all of you youngsters can save a little $$. I am going to contact Southern States and see if I can get them to have a standing senior discount day.

If our Southern States starts having a senior discount day, I'll have to sweet talk my gardening neighbor into going with me (she'd qualify -- me, not quite yet)... maybe I can bribe her with lunch afterwards. Actually, I could probably bribe her better with spring seedlings... :-)
I'll keep my eyes open and post if I notice anything like that. The Ace Hardware near my parents' home has senior discount days, but I don't know if that's true for all Ace stores.
