In the Vacations and Travel forum there is a posting from soapwort243 titled "dream trip to Canadian Rockies", asking for travel advice, but nobody has answered. My last trip to the Rockies was about 20 years ago, so any advice I can give will be severely out of date. Is there someone with more recent travel experience that can respond to the post, please?

Calling all Canadians
If you have to choose between Banff & Jasper...go for Jasper.
Thanks, Joanne.
I put a couple of pictures on that post. Did a little road trip late August this year.
I agree with Joanne....Jasper is my favorite too. I might spell these wrong but here goes..
I would do the Maligne lake, walk around Jasper park lodge if you can manage to stay there, also the cabins at Johnston Canyon along with the walk is super. The Ice fields are super too. Don't for get the Tramway to the best view ever.
To get to Jasper if someone is flying to Edmonton you can take the train from here and that is a super view trip, nice and casual with an excellent dining and view car. Many hotels have pick up service from the train station too. There is one Bfast place on main street that does Cinnamon buns as french toast, really low cal ! LOL
Banff is nice too especially if you cut through and head to Radium as that drive is spectacular.
I will D mail soapwort243
Ann
Where is that gorgeous Emerald Lake? Is that in Jasper. It's been so long.
Emerald Lake is actually in BC just north of the Trans Canada not far from the BC/AV border.
