What's with these brugs? why are they named this? is this their registered names? wasn't sure, and i've always wanted to know
double peach
double orange
triple orange
Are these their true registered names?
anybody know anything about these brugs?
I have a question
The only name I know of close is Native Habitat double peach. Others I would guess are either working or names given but not registered.
OH I see,
thanks
Hey Kathy Ann,
I have seen people use the description of double peach and double orange when refering to Native Habitat double peach.
And then I have seen people use the description of triple orange when refering to Herrenhauser Garten.
Hope this helps you.
None of these "names" is registered Kathy_Ann.
They are descriptions which have sort of become names, but the problem with purely descriptive names is that it is too easy to apply them to anything that fits the description, so they create muddle and confusion by being used for more than one variety.
I believe we have always called Double Peach by that name because that is the way it was listed in Native Habitat's catalog several years ago. Back then we weren't concerned with "proper" names like we are now because back then there weren't very many brugs and we weren't registering them. Changes have been good.
Thanks for all the comments.
