Hello,
Sorry to bother again, but I need your help. A friend bought this hoya, and was sold to her as picta, I really don't know if it is a picta.
Thank you for any help you can give us.

Id help
I love the color and leaf shape too, I just wish I could tell her what she got. She lives in Spain.
Thank you
There are a lot of hoyas that have leaves similar to those. It appears that hoya was kept in sun or very bright light as the leaves are such a light shade of green. When they get that light it is hard to determine if they have splotches or what the veins look like if any. Many carnosa types fit that look. If & when it blooms would be the only really sure way of knowing what type of hoya it is. Sorry.
Marcy
Thank you Marcy, guess she'll have to wait.
I wish I could Susan, I checked and unless you are a company, you can not send or receive plants. :( from Spain.

It does resemble the leaves of my H. picta very much - mine is grown in a west window with a 'lacy' curtain in front of it, so the leaves are very much an 'apple green'.
Good point by MairzeeD, though, that many do have similar leaves, so it's difficult to tell without blooms. Just saying it very well could be, though.
Could you take a photo with, perhaps a coin or some other well-known object near the leaves for a size comparison?
Hi Nan,
Thank you for your reply. I'll ask my friend to take a picture for the size comparison, and I'll let you now.
Thank you again,
Lourdes
Hi Lourdes, I don't think its picta. But it would be interesting to find out what it is, it seems like you have a rather large plant so blooms could be coming soon.
Ric
Thanks Ric,
I wish it was mine, or that I could get a cutting. It's my friend's, she lives in Spain and got it from a lady that gets her plants in Sweeden.
Take care,
Lourdes
My picta leaves are tiny, and the leaves in your picture don't look like that. When I say tiny, I mean they are close in size to serpens or heuschkeliana. I would guess that it's either plain carnosa or carnosa 'Krimson Princess' that has lost it's variegation. Hopefully you'll get flowers soon, which will help with the ID!
Here's a picture of my picta - it's in a 2 or 3" diameter candle holder, so you can tell that the leaves are pretty small.
Gabi
You know, looking back at your picture, it does have the same coloring as picta, but I agree that it doesn't look like it's picta (the leaves are a little more elongated and they look bigger).
I take back what I said about it possibly being a carnosa - the leaves look too small and different from what carnosa foliage looks like. Lourdes, would you say that the size is much smaller than a typical carnosa?
Gabi
Hello Gabi,
Thanks for the reply. It’s so hard for me to give any information about it. This plant is not mine, my friend who lives in Spain asked m if I could help her id the plant.
I have asked her for pictures next to an objet for size comparison, but she doesn’t have the camera right now.
As soon as she gives me more info I’ll pass it on.
Thank you so very much for taking the time.
Lourdes
PS. Your plants are beautiful, congratulations
