New Colocasia hybrids

Louisville, KY

I have been doing some breeding with colocasias and have had some interesting results. I am interested to hear what you think on these new seedlings.

Is that a cross with "Illustris' as one of the parents? I like the dark purple dot in the center.

I'm guessing Illustris and Black Pearl? It's pretty! How do you like it? I like the bluish markings, it kind of reminds me of this one I got from you in June..

Illustrius does not seem to produce seeds and very rarely produces pollen. This was a Black magic X pink china hybrid.

Do you think it will be hardy to Zone 6a?
Please, oh please?!!!!

Hope the Pink China's hardiness comes through... it'll be hardy for you then, rox!

If this one does not I am sure their are a lot of others that will. The main problem here is it may take over 3 years to really test them if not longer for hardiness. I have dont some hardiness testing on a few forms but these seedlings will take longer to grow out and test and not every winter here is extremely cold enough to be considered Zone 6 thank god LOL.

Why does my post have so much space? You wrote 3 lines and your "space" is shorter than my long space with just me sticking my tongue out... ?

Yes, but every winter here is cold enough to be considered Zone 6, Oh Darn!.
So I could test trial a few for you........
