New mini...

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

She will have to be grown another year to see how she does in the heat and hopefully, she will drop her inner skirt better then. A picture taken today is showing her tendrils extending downward more, but it was a little fuzzy. This picture was taken last night. We have had high winds and she has lost a little of her tendrils from it. It would be fun to have a small yellow double, but I'll just have to wait and see.

Very nice, the color reminds me of a lemon meringue pie.

It's lovely, Shirley!

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

lovely Shirley..
Yes.. I too think there is a place for a full line of timy brugs... I was amaised at my little pink one.. such a tiny flower .. on a small compact plant... much easier to manage.. and in so many new places available to them..
As much as I enjoy a dark pink 12" dia. flower... hanging down 20" that's a cutie...

What a pretty one! Bright, happy yellow (my daughter's favorite color), and a small one to boot. Good deal! Congrats!!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Lemon yellow.. I love it.. such a little cutie! What is the fragrance like? Lemon no doubt.. LOL I am a real fan of the mini brugs.. I can't wait to see a full line of lil patio table brugs! Congrats Shirley.. she's a cutie.

LOL! She might be a small bloom, but her size isn't small. The plant is probably getting close to 8 ft. now. Of course, the babies were planted in nearly 100% goat stall "stuff" from my neighbor's barn. That might tend to make them grow tall.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Wow, love it, Shirley.

Valley Springs, CA(Zone 9a)

That's got real nice potential Shirley! How's the fragrance?

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I love the color Shirley. I hope she stays that pretty color and keeps her small size next summer.

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

Nice one Shirley, It's so nice to see some double yellows.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Liz deserves the credit, but thanks anyway. I still haven't checked her for fragrance. It's just too dark and cold out there. Next year, I'll be able to tell you more about her. Thanks again.

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

wow Shirley that is incredible I bet you still have lots of smell..........

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

I like her too, Shirley. I really hope she drops that second skirt for you next year.
The color is awesome, and I'll bet she is very pretty in person.
Nice job, Liz & Brugie!

Shirley! She's absolutely elegant!
Congratulations!
I'll be happy to purchase one when she's released.

I'm also relieved to know there's hope for my Goldenes Kornett.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

A few months ago, I was searching for something and ran across a site in the US that sells Goldness Kornett. At the time, they were sold out, but I would like to have one. Does anyone know where that might have been? I can't remember and didn't bookmark the site.

Thanks everyone. Hoping from Iowa that she will pan out for Liz. I was very lucky to have been able to grow out some of her brugmansia seed.

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Shirley , she is so cute. I love the yellow coloring. I hope she continues doing well for you.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Brugie, I think I found it by searching for Goldenes Kornett....maybe brugmansiasetc.com ?

Love the little ones!

Houston, TX(Zone 9b)

Very nice! I have a couple of tiny one's myself - 'Inspiration' by JT Sessions & 'Tootsie', a new mini-double orange by Brenda Delph, as well 'Gemini' (a small white double), *don't remember Gemini's hybridizer*. I am in the early stages of working towards hybridizing a line of mini's. Axelrose has had pretty small flowers for me (not tiny, but smaller than average), so I'm including that one in the program. One reason why I'd like to develop smaller flowered hybrids, is it seems the smaller flowers hold up a little better during our very oppressive summer heat. That, and I just like them. :)

I hope this one trials well for you!!

Shirley beautiful such a lovely shade of yellow.. It looks like your "stuff" should be marketed is that a word??lol.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks Jen, but that site is in Canada and she doesn't ship to the US. Darn it. Thanks for trying.

Thanks Carter. I'm crossing my fingers. I have Gemini now and look forward to seeing it blooming next summer too. I would like to have small plants with small flowers. Sweetcakes has smaller than normal flowers and does remain a small plant, so maybe she is one to be worked with. Gemini is from Native Habitat, I believe.

Carter, I think that 'Gemini' was a NHE double of B. candida 'Knightii' x B. aurea 'White'

Simoultaneous post, sorry :)

Twyla, I'm not much for marketing, but after seeing how much money Day Dreams has made people over the last couple of years, maybe I should look into it. LOL.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

I just got back here.. well, so much for the patio table brug! LOL *red faced* I love the mini.. especially a double yellow.. It just has to smell good.. I can't imagine such a darling bloom not being loaded with fragrance.. especially yellow, right?
As for marketing? Go for it! I'd be one of the first to open my pocketbook and dig deep for this lil cutie!

That's so cute.
Congrats to you and Liz. Very well done, girls.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hi Jeanne. I didn't have to put any thought into it. That was Liz's job and all I did was grow the seed. LOL!

ZZ, it might be a patio brug next year because I cut a lot of the trunk off and left it about 4 ft. tall, including the above the Y material.

Victoria, BC(Zone 8a)

What a sweetheart looking brug. Congrats Brugie on making Liz's seed come to life and look so fantastic! Nice going Liz! ♥

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

I love it!!!!
